Chao-Yang Lu

Professor Chao-Yang Lu was born in 1982 in Zhejiang, China. He obtained Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2004, and PhD in Physics from the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge in 2011.

He is currently a Professor of Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China, where he focuses on research on quantum foundations, quantum computation, solid-state quantum photonics, multi-particle entanglement, quantum teleportation, atomic arrays, superconducting qubits etc.

Teng-Yun Chen

Dr. Teng-Yun Chen was born in Fujian Province, February, 1978. He obtained the bachelor's and doctor's degree in 2001 and 2006, respectively, both in University of Science and Technology of China. He is now an associate researcher of USTC. He is devoted to the study of the optical fiber based quantum communication with quantum cryptography system and network.Until now, he has published many papers on the high-profile journals, including 9 Physical Review Letters, and 1 Physical Review X.

Jun Zhang

Dr. Jun Zhang is a full professor at Hefei National Laboratory of Physical Sciences at Microscale, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Dr. Zhang received his bachelor’s degree and PhD both from USTC at 2002, and 2007, respectively. From August 2007 to January 2011, he had been working in University of Geneva as a postdoctoral researcher. At January 2011 he came back to USTC. Dr.

Kai Chen

Kai Chen, a professor of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), He graduated from Northwest University, China, under supervision of Prof. Bo-Yu Hou. He has worked in a number of international academic institutes and universities before he joins in USTC. This includes a postdoctoral fellow at Institute of Physics in Chinese Academy of Sciences, and in University of Toronto, an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow in University of Bonn, a Marie-Curie research fellow and a postdoctoral fellow in University of Heidelberg.

Shuai Chen

Shuai Chen (born Nov. 1975), is professor at Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale, USTC. He received his BS degree from Jilin University in July 1997 and his PhD. from Peking University January 2005. He worked as a postdoc in the cold atom physics and quantum information research group of Physics Research Institute in Heidelberg University from February 2005 to January 2009. From 2009, he is professor at USTC. Prof. Shuai has published more than 20 papers, including Science (1)、Nature (1)、Nature Physics(3)、Nature Photonics (1) Physical Review Letters (6).

Bo Zhao

Bo Zhao is a professor of physics of University of Science and Technology of China. He got the Bachelor degree (2001) and Master degree (2005) in University of Science and Technology of China. He got the PhD degree in Heidelberg University, Germany in 2008. Bo Zhao has been working on quantum memory, quantum repeaters, Rydberg atoms, and polar molecules for more than ten years.

Xiao-Bo Zhu

Xiaobo Zhu received his PhD in condensed matter physics at Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOP-China), Beijing. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked in IOP-China as intern, assistant professor and associated professor. In 2008, he joined NTT Basic Research Laboratories as Research Associate and Senior Research Associate. In 2013, he became a special assigned professor in IOP-China. In 2016, he joined University of science and technology of China as professor.

Zhen-Sheng Yuan

Zhen-Sheng Yuan, born in July of 1976, is now professor of physics at the Hefei National Laboratory of Physical Sciences at the Microscale. He received a BSc in 1998 and a PhD in 2003 both from the University of Science and Technology of China. During 2006 to 2011, he had been working at the Heidelberg University as a PostDoc, an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, and a senior scientist (when he was a CoPI of a couple of projects) successively. He was appointed professor of physics at USTC in 2011.
